In this lesson you will learn how to play tracks, use the JOG and control the sound volume. DJ-ing starts with choosing music, but to use your chosen track you’ll have to load it into your DJ app. This tutorial will show you how to do just that, but also how to use the JOG and how to position the knobs and faders on the mixer to make sure the volume of the track is right. When you are done setting things up, simply press play to hear your chosen track!

This lesson will teach you all about cueing. Cueing has everything to do with pre-listening and preparing the track you want to be played to your audience. With cueing you can check whether the new track fits well into your mix. To make the perfect start with a new track, you might define a custom starting point. You determine that starting point by turning the JOG, for example, and then marking the starting point with the Cue button. This tutorial will explain cueing and will show you how it works.

In this lesson you will learn about beat matching. Beat matching is an important and indispensable part of DJ-ing. Beat matching ensures that the music tracks that you are going to mix for your audience flow nicely into each other and that the beats of both tracks can be heard at exactly the same time. This is done by syncing the tempo of the tracks. This tutorial will show you how can sync your beats both manually and automatically.

This lesson will teach you about equalizing, filtering and DJAY PRO AI’s Neural Mix. Equalizing, or EQ, and filtering are actually the same: filtering is removing frequencies of sound. EQ is the functionality on your DJ Controller that actually does it. There is an EQ for low, mid and high frequencies and there is a separate filter knob. The filter knob is in most cases a filter that cuts frequencies in a special way at one time, while the separate EQ knobs help you change only the specific frequency ranges as mentioned before.
